It's such a joyful moment when your dog runs up to you with their tail wagging after a day apart. Playing catch, going on long walks, and copious amounts of petting soft fur are all joys dog owners look forward to.

What they probably don't enjoy quite as much, though, is the tedious task of picking up after their dogs. From the smell to the unenjoyable consistency, it's just not a pleasant moment in anyone's life.

However, a team of geniuses has created a device that will do the dirty work for you, leaving you to fully enjoy your time with your dog.

The Beetl robot roams around your garden on a mission to search for dog poo in order to scoop it up for you.

Its inbuilt computer system and cameras help it detect your dog's dirty business.

Once it finds the poo it uses its robotic arms to pick up and place it into a sealed container, easy for you to later discard without ever setting eyes or hands on the matter.

All you have to do is set a perimeter in your garden with the Beetl's clever sensors and it'll get straight to work.

Moreover, you can link up your "Pooper Scooper" to a cloud network so that when the Beetl team creates new information and tools, your robot is instantly updated.

Don't get too excited just yet, as the robot isn't quite ready to be launched. It's still being tested, but will no doubt be a welcome addition to any dog-owning household.
