THE FIRST NIGERIA WOMAN TO BE APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF CURRENCY AND OPERATION IN CBN, MRS PRISCILIA EKWERE ELEJE FROM EBONYI STATE.

An Ebonyi woman is now the Director of Currency and Operation in the Central Bank of Nigeria.

She is Mrs Priscilla Ekwere Eleje from Afikpo. She happens to be the first female Director of Currency and Operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. She has also been confirmed as the substantive Director of CBN.

Mrs Eleje was reportedly confirmed Substantive Director of CBN on August 30, 2018 and currencies printed from then onwards  shall  bear  her signature.
She is a graduate of  psychology  from the University of Jos, Nigeria.
Mrs. Eleje is an alumna of the prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship programme in Banking and Management at Boston University, Massachusetts, USA.
 She is also a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
